Li Jifen got her Master Degree of Philosophy in Renmin University of China in 2011, and Ph.D of Philosophy in Nanyang Technological University of Singapore in 2015. Now she is an associate professor in the school of philosophy in Renmin University of China. Her interests include the ancient Confucianism, the comparative philosophy in the East and West, and so on. She has published a book, The Studies on the Concept of the Complete Person in Xunzi (2021). She also has published many international papers both in English and Chinese, such as “The Ontological Dimension of Xunzi’s Ritual Propriety: A Comparative Study of Xunzi and Heidegger” (Philosophy East and West, 2019, 69(1), pp.156-175); Xunzi’s philosophy of mourning as developing filial appreciation, (Dao: A journal of comparative philosophy, volume 16, No.1 March 2017, pages 35-51); “A Study on Xunzi’s Thought of Cheng ren成人: A Discussion on the Relationship between Cheng ren and Cheng wu (History of Chinese Philosophy,Vol.2, pp.19－26); “A New Study on KE JI FU LI WEIREN: From the Perspective of Xunzi” (Morality and Civilization，2021,Vol.3,pp.71－81); “A study on the thought of ‘xi yu xing cheng’习与性成 in ”，(Dongyue Tribune ），2017, Vol.2，pp.48-53) and so on. She has presided on 1 research fund of the social sciences from the Ministry of Education, 2 Projects from Beijing Social Sciences Research funds, and 5 projects from Research Fund of Renmin University of China. For courses teaching, she has taught more than four under-graduate courses such as “The History of Chinese philosophy,” “Studies on Confucian Classical Reading”, “Confucian Studies,” “The Wisdom of Chinese Philosophy” ; 9 graduate courses both in English and Chinese, including “Comparative Studies between Chinese and Western Philosophy,”“Studies in Modern Chinese Philosophy,” “Studies on Confucianism,” “Studies on Daoism,”“Chinese Philosophy and the Modern World,”“Selected Readings of the Philosophy in Ancient China,”“Studies in the Historical Materials of Chinese Philosophy,”“Research Issues in Song-Ming Neo-Confucianism,”“Selected Readings of the Neo-Confucianism,” etc..
