Institute of Buddhism and Religious Studies

The Institute of Buddhism and Religious Studies at Renmin University of China wasapproved as a "Key Research Base in Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education" in September 2000.The institute focuses onBuddhism, theories of religious studies, Christianity, Taoism, Islam, and contemporary religions. It undertakes multiple national research projects and has established productive academic exchange and collaboration with numerous well-known universities, research institutions, government organizations, and religious groups, both domestically and internationally. Further, it has successfully organized a series of international and domestic academic conferences, including the "China-Japan Buddhist Studies Conference."
