Institute of Confucian Studies
The Institute of Confucian Studies was established by Renmin University of China in 2003. It is conducted in terms of a comprehensive development strategy of a “high starting point, high standard, and high specification”. It aims to inherit the study of traditional Chinese culture and Confucian thoughts It has expanded its influence and carries out extensive cooperation between the humanities disciplines of the university and academic, cultural, and educational circles at home and abroad. Since its establishment , it has actively carried out various academic activities, holding large-scale academic conferences such as the “International Forum on Confucianism” for more than 10 consecutive years. It has conducted extensive academic exchange and managed to build a long-term academic cooperation with institutions in Japan, South Korea, the United States, Russia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and many other countries. For more than 10 years, it publishes the research journal Confucian Review. , and has launched the compilation of the Collection of International Studies of Confucianism and Tibetology . It has also published the Collection of International Studies of Confucianism and Tibetology – South Korean Compilation . Furthur, the “Cui Ying” cultural scholarship was also estalished to sponsor students and young scholars to study Confucian thought. The annual event, the 'Confucian Culture Month' has been carried out for more than 10 years,for the sake of vigorously promoting the popularization and publicity of Chinese traditional culture.
