Creating a Golden Course on ideology and politics
In 2023, on the basis of lecturing the university-wide public course 'Marxism and Methodology of Social Sciences' and 'Dialectics of Nature', the compulsory postgraduate course 'Worldview and Methodology of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era' was offered.

The school promotes the construction of the '101 Program' of the Ministry of Education in the field of philosophy, promoting coursessuch as 'Philosophy of Marxism', 'History of Chinese Philosophy', 'Introduction to Political Philosophy'.The teaching and research team of Marxist philosophy integrates the innovative achievements of contemporary Chinese Marxist philosophy into classroom teaching, and clarifies the key points of the ideology in the teaching of Marxist philosophy. Publication of an introduction to the classic literature of Marxist Philosophy
The teaching and research team of Marxist Philosophy publishes Introduction to Classical Literature of Marxist Philosophy. Fifteen classic Marxist philosophical texts are selected, and the method of reading is based on theories and practices and the unity of logic and history, so that students can enter the textual context of Marxist philosophy as soon as possible, understand the ideological connotations of the classic texts, grasp the whole picture of the thoughts of the classic Marxist philosophical writers from a general perspective, and find the ideological resources for China and the times in the depths of the history of Marxist philosophy.
Organize a series of lectures by renowned experts
The school has launched a series of lectures on Marxist philosophy, including 'Classics and Interpretation', 'Times in Texts', 'RUCForumon Marxist philosophy', 'RUCLectures on Foreign Marxist Philosophers'and so on.Experts in Marxist philosophy with rich attainments at home and abroad are invited, such as An Qi’nian, Wang Nanchik, Chen Xueming, Yang Jinhai, Nie Jinfang, Zhang Wenxi, Han Lixin, Yang Haifeng, Bo Guoqiang, Callinicos, Quante, Hiraizi Youchang, and Hecker, etc., presenting the cutting-edge research results of Marxist philosophy to the general students and teachers. In 2023, 'The Road to Wisdom: Contemporary Philosophical Meditations on Problems' (by Zang Fengyu), 'The Basic Structure of Modernity' (by Luo Qian), 'Outline of the Practical Logic of the Course of Chinese Modernization' (by Chen Shizhen), and a classic work on Chinese modernization,'Philosophical Exploration of Chinese Modernization (Revised Edition)' (by Li Xiulin, Li Huaichun, Chen Yanqing, and Guo Zhan), were published.In addition, Prof. Zang Fengyu's 'Research on the Basic Connotation and Construction Path of Modern Civilization of the Chinese Nation' was awarded the project of Beijing Social Science Foundation. In 2023, Mr. Chen Xianta and other authors of the book 'Approaching Marx' and Prof. Zang Fengyu's thesis 'Marx's Thought on Modernity and the Practical Logic of Chinese Modernization' won the Second Prize of BeijingOutstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Science. The book series 'Approaching Marx' explains the practical significance of Marx's thought from different angles, which is a successful attempt of contemporary theorists to write popularized reading materials. The article 'Marx's Thought on Modernity and the Practical Logic of Chinese Modernization' shows that the Chinese nation has chosen a modernization path that conforms to the actuality of its own development during its practical exploration for more than a hundred years, and that the achievements made are of world historical significance.

Running the Journal of Marxist Philosophical Review
The journal is the first review-based Marxist philosophy journal in China, founded in 2016, now sponsored by the School of Philosophy of Renmin University of China, with editor-in-chief Zang Fengyu, and executive editor Huang Zhijun. In 2023, it was selected as one of the journals in China's humanities and social sciences collection, AMI, and in the same year, it was included in the database of Chinese Philosophy and Social Sciences Documentation Center and the Yangtze River Literature Library. The journal has always used reviews as its foundation. With the purpose of promoting the academic development,it has made positive contributions to promotion of the academic book review and academic evaluation work , and has produced a wide and good academic impactin the academic community .

Launch of 'Philosophy of China' Social Practice

In 2024, theSchool of Philosophy of RUC implements the deployment requirements of the university, adheres to the principle of establishing moral education, further strengthens the construction of the discipline of Marxist philosophy, conducts in-depth research on the worldview and methodology of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, elaborates on the philosophical meaning of Xi Jinping's thought on culture, focuses on the proposition of the era of Chinesemodernization, and expounds on the profound connotations of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the times. We will strengthen basic theoretical and applied research on Marxist philosophy, promote the integration of Marxist philosophy with Chinese philosophy, study the Western ideological sources of Marxist philosophy, promote research in the fields of Marxist ethics, Marxist religious studies, Marxist philosophy of science and technology, and Marxist political philosophy, and promote the innovative development of various secondary disciplines.
