Wu Gongqing, born in 1982, is from Yuexi, Anhui Province. I got my Doctor of History from University of Bologna (Italy). Now I am a professor at school of philosophy, Renmin University of China. My research areas mainly include Renaissance, modern philosophy, and medieval philosophy. I have written "Demonization and Demolition: Pico's Magic Thought and the Birth of the Modern World" (Beijing Sanlian Bookstore, June 2023) and "God and Rome: Origen and the Religious-Political Revolution of Early Christianity" (Shanghai Sanlian Bookstore, June 2018). I published nearly 30 papers in core journals such as zhexue yanjiu, zhexue dongtai, and shijie zhexue. I has undertaken three national social science funds and presided over one major planning project of Renmin University of China. I have been teaching various courses such as "History of Western Philosophy", "Selected Readings of Early Modern Philosophy", "Medieval Philosophy", "Hellenistic Roman Philosophy", "Plato's Republic" etc.
