He holds a doctoral degree and is an associate professor. His main research direction is Sanskrit manuscripts and Buddhist philosophy. He completed his undergraduate and master's degrees at Fudan University and obtained a doctoral degree in Asian Culture and Literature from the University of Tokyo in Japan.
