LI QIULING is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of Philosophy at Renmin University of China. He is also a full-time researcher at the Institute for Advanced Religious Studies and the Institute of Buddhism and Religious Theory at Renmin University of China, and a part-time researcher at the Hong Kong Institute of Sino-Christian Studies. He has been involved in the field of philosophy education at Chinese universities for 37 years. He adheres to the principle of people-oriented education and is dedicated to the educational mission of the Communist Party of China. He has been bestowed with several honorary titles, including "Model of Education in Beijing Universities" (2010), "Advanced Individual of Beijing Teachers' Ethics" (2010), and "Outstanding Communist Party Member in Beijing Universities" (2011). He was honored with the “Special Award of the President of Renmin University of China” (2010), “The Sixth WU YUZHANG Award for Outstanding Scientific Research” (2012), “The Sixth WU YUZHANG Award for Excellence in Humanities and Social Sciences” (2012), “First Prize of the Sixth Higher Education Institutions' Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research (Humanities and Social Sciences)” (2013), “Beijing Outstanding Teachers” (2023), and other important awards. He has made important contributions to philosophical research in the Chinese-speaking world, and has been hailed as “a monument in the history of the exchange of ideas between China and the West”.
He is the author of several academic monographs, including God - Universe - Man , History in the Horizon of German Philosophers , and Cultural Regeneration Bathed in Divine Light . He has translated more than 50 masterpieces of Western scholarship, including The Complete Works of Immanuel Kant (Kants Werke Akademie Textausgebe), with more than 10 million words. He translated the Complete Works of Immanuel Kant (9 volumes) by himself over a period of 10 years. He has participated in the writing of undergraduate and graduate textbooks such as History of Western Philosophy , New History of Western Philosophy , Study of Problems in Western Philosophy , and Wisdom of Western Philosophy .
