Personal profile

Wang Bolu, professor of the School of Philosophy of RUC, works on the philosophy of science and technology. He is also the standing director of the Chinese Society for Dialectics of Nature (CSDN),the vice director and secretary of the Scholarship Committee in RUC and vice director of Beijing Society for Dialectics of Nature. His main research interests cover philosophy of technology, science and technology view of Marxism, public administration and science technology and society (STS).He has published more than 5 books, including Analysis on the Technology Thoughts of Das kapital and Its Manuscript(2016), Technical Dilemma and It's Overstep(2011), A Compendious study of Marx’s Thought on Technology(2009), What is Technology : A Theoretical Interpretation of the View of Broad Technology(2006) and so on.He has published more than 120 papers, including “Interpretation of Marx's Thought of Interaction between science and technology”, “An Analysis on the Patterns of Social Technology and its Position”, “An analysis on transport technology and its development trends” and so on.He has led and completed 4 projects of the National Social Science Fund, and he is currently conducting research on project of “Research on Modern Technicalization”. He gained several awards in research, including 7th Wu Yuzhang Humanities and Social Sciences Award, 3 second prizes and 1 third prize of provincial social science achievements, outstanding teachers of the Ministry of Railways and so on.
