Li Ping, born in 1965, Hengyang City, Hunan Province, is a third-class professor and doctoral supervisor at Renmin University of China (RUC), and director of the Institute of Teaism Philosophy, RUC. Her research fields include management ethics, civic ethics, and philosophy of teaism. She is also the executive director of the Chinese Society for Studying Japanese Philosophies, a researcher of the Beijing Normal University Internet Institute, and an advisor to the Chinese Tea Culture Special Committee of the Chinese Culture Promotion Society.
She graduated from Xiangtan University in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in philosophy.
She received her master and doctoral degrees from Renmin University of China in 1990 and 1996, respectively.
From 1998 to 2000, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology of the University of Tokyo, Japan.
In 2009 and 2013, she was a visiting scholar at King's College London, UK, and at National University of Singapore, respectively.
She has independently presided over one major project and one general project of the National Social Science Fund of China, two projects of the Ministry of Education, one project of the Cyberspace Administration of China, one project of Beijing Municipality, and one major project of Guizhou Province. She is sole author of 10 publications, editor-in-chief of 5 publications, and co-author for more than 10 publications. She was supported by Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University in 2008, and won the 8th Young Teacher Award by Fok Ying Tong Education Foundation. She has published more than 100 papers in various academic journals, including Xinhua Digest, Journal of Renmin University of China, Journal of Peking University, and Philosophical Dynamics.
