Yu Kailiang, male, Ph.D., holds the positions of Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in the Aesthetics Teaching and Research Section at Renmin University of China's School of Philosophy.He is a member of the Chinese Aesthetics Society, serving as the Secretary General of the Chinese Aesthetics Academic Committee, and holds membership in the Beijing Aesthetics Society.His primary research focus is Chinese traditional aesthetics, particularly exploring the aesthetic experiences of life and artistic appreciation among traditional Chinese scholars through philosophical speculation. Currently, Dr. Yu has achieved significant scientific research accomplishments, particularly in elucidating the correlation between traditional Confucian, Taoist, and metaphysical philosophies regarding human nature and aesthetic experiences.Dr. Yu offers courses such as The History of Chinese Aesthetics, Introduction to the Original Works of Chinese Aesthetics, Thematic Studies of Chinese Aesthetics, and Study of Aesthetic Literature.Additionally, he has authored many academic works, including The Aesthetics of Garden in the Six Dynasties , Introduction to the Philosophy of Art , The Aesthetics of Confucianism and Taoism in the Pre-Qin Period , and Guo Xiang's Commentary on Zhuangzi and the Aesthetic Trend in Wei and Jin Dynasties . Furthermore, he participated in compiling the textbook The History of Chinese Aesthetics as a main member of the Ministry of Education's Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project.
