Facts and Figure

The School of Philosophy has an excellent faculty, which enables the school to attain world-class status. The school has 80 full-time facultymembers, among whom there are 47 professors (which amounts to 59% of the total faculty), 24 associate professors (30% of the total faculty),and 9 assistant professors (11% of the total faculty). Included here are four full-time foreign professors and two part-time foreign professors.

Further, 25 of the current faculty members have obtained their doctor aldegrees from prestigious overseas universities, such as McGill Universityin Canada, the University of British Columbia in Canada, the University ofTokyo in Japan, and the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium. These members make up approximately 32% of the total faculty, show casing the department's international orientation and commitment to academic excellence.
