Marxist Philosophy

The Department of Marxist Philosophy was one of the earliest of such departments established after the founding of the People's Republic of China. It continues to be at the forefront on a range of topics, including the principles of Marxist philosophy, the history of Marxist philosophy, the sinicization of Marxist philosophy, historical materialism, foreign Marxist philosophy, and Marxist political philosophy. It maintains a leading position in the publication of Marxist philosophy textbooks and has received numerous awards for research and teaching achievements. Faculty members have published works such as Principles of Dialectical Materialism and Principles of Historical Materialism, which have a high reputation among academic peers. The department also hosts academic events such as the 'Renmin University Lecture Series by Foreign Marxist Philosophers' and the 'Renmin University Marxist Philosophy Forum,' which are well-regarded in academic circle.
