David Lefebvre is Professor of the History of Ancient Philosophy at Sorbonne University and a member of the CNRS Centre Léon Robin. His research focuses on Aristotle and the Aristotelian tradition, especially on Aristotelian metaphysics, biology, and the relation between philosophy and science. He has published a French translation of Aristotle’s On the Generation of Animals (Flammarion, 2014), monograph Dynamis: Sens et genèse de la notion aristotélicienne de puissance (Vrin, 2018), and co-edited La Métaphysique de Théophraste: principes et apories (Peeters, 2015), Aristotle's Generation of Animals: A Critical Guide (Cambridge University Press, 2018), The Science of Life in Aristotle and the Early Peripatos (Brill, 2025).
